Beef Bone Broth Recipe

🍲✨ Homemade Beef Bone Broth Recipe ✨🍲

The most flavourful, nutrient-packed beef bone broth. It's a labor of love, but oh-so worth it.

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 kg beef bones (marrow and knuckles)

  • 2 carrots, chopped

  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

  • 1 onion, halved

  • 1 bulb of garlic, smashed

  • 2 tablespoons ACV

  • 10-12 cups of water (adjust as needed)

  • Whatever herbs or dried herbs you’d like

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Start by boiling your bones in a pot of water for 20-30 minutes. Once bones go brown, strain and wash off all the excess grit off the bones.

  • Line a baking dish and roast the beef bones and your celery, carrot and onion at 200 degrees celsius for 30-40 minutes until they're beautifully browned.

  • In a slow cooker or large pot, combine the roasted bones, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, ACV and herbs. Cover with enough water so everything is covered.

  • Bring to a boil, then simmer. Skim off any foam that rises or in the slow cooker put on the low setting.

  • Let it simmer for 8-24 hours. The longer, the better. Keep an eye on the water level and top up if needed.

  • Once done, remove solids and strain the broth.

  • Let it cool and refrigerate. Remove any excess fat as it solidifies on top or use in cooking!

There you have it – a savoury, homemade beef bone broth! Use it as a base for soups, stews, or sip it for a health boost. 🥄🌟
